I live in Australia, and was just wondering about the future of your stockmarket etc. Does it mean that America is no longer the most powerful and wealthiest nation?

    Despite the current market troubles the USA is still the world leader in GDP (the market value of all final goods and services from a nation in a given year). 13 times greater than Australia, for example.
    It’s quite possible another country like Japan or China could narrow the gap considerably in the next 50 years.
